  1. It's difficult to pick one. There are movies where something happens to make you jump, which a momentary scare. But good suspense movies are probably scarier - the anticipation of something bad about to happen. I still love watching the original Jaws, man that's scary! The worst bit is where the head pops out from under the sunken boat. I know it's an old movie now and the mechanical shark is rather naff but the cinematography is superb.

  2. My favorite movie scary movie is actually more of psychological thriller more than a horror. It is Cape Fear. For anyone who has not seen it, it has Nick Nolte and Robert DeNiro in it.

  3. not a fan of any horrors - used to love nightmare on elm street back before I had my son, but I have nightmares now, so I avoid them like I avoid Watership down, which is the scariest movie I ever saw lol!!

  47. Love THE CHANGELING - the old haunted house film NOT the Angelina Jolie film of the same name. It's an old fashioned ghost story with no violence (well a small part you might call "violent" but nothing gory) and there's one part that gets me every time I watch it even though I know it's going to happen.
