Review by Suze

For Maggie Wirra Station never felt like home. Her great aunt raised Maggie when she became an orphan, but she didn’t bring her up with warmth and affection. Instead Maggie was sent to boarding school and she learned to survive on her own at a young age. Her great aunt recently passed away and left Wirra Station to Maggie. She can sell it to Max, the man next door who saved her life when he was a boy, but couldn’t do anything for her parents, or she can stay. Maggie has to decide if she's brave enough to fight the demons of the past. What will she do?

Max gives Maggie a challenge, he wants her to stay for three months, to see if she can turn Wirra Station into a profitable business, and finally the home it should have been years ago. Max would love for Maggie to stay and does everything in his power to support her. Will he be able to convince her to give Wirra Station and the opportunity to find true love and happiness in a place that once made her miserable a chance?

Maggie’s Run is a wonderful romantic story. Maggie is independent, smart and capable. She’s also prickly and fiery and I loved her outspokenness. She constantly challenges Max and they keep each other on their toes. There’s plenty of chemistry between them and I loved every single moment of their journey towards a beautiful connection. Maggie's traumas involve Max and it's time for them to make some better memories and see if they can have a future together. I was eager to find out if Maggie would be able to make Wirra Station her home and read Maggie’s Run in one sitting. I enjoyed every single page of this mesmerizing story.

Kelly Hunter has a fabulous descriptive writing style. It was easy to picture Wirra Station and I absolutely loved how she makes the place come to life. I was fascinated by Maggie’s ideas to transform and update the house she once felt unhappy in and make it her own. I couldn't wait for Maggie to uncover the secrets hidden in the house and loved finding out more about Maggie's family and the history of the house she once disliked. It’s a terrific idea for a story. Maggie’s Run is charming, entertaining, sweet and captivating. I absolutely loved this gorgeous book.

If you love outback romance you don't want to miss Maggie's Run.
