  4. I'm a great fan of Tana French's crime thriller series set in my old home town of Dublin but her next release is a stand-alone, The Witch Elm. It is a thriller mystery about a man who is attacked and as he recovers from his injuries, well, to quote the blurb on Goodreads: the book "asks what we become, and what we’re capable of, when we no longer know who we are". It's not out till October though :(
