  1. What I love most about the books is that the characters were so relatable, despite their abilities to use magic. Their struggles were real in my mind thanks to Rowling's wonderful writing skills. Their problems were very similar to the ones we face in our ordinary lives. Relationships, friendships, loyalty and morality are huge parts of the series. Harry Potter connects me to my childhood. Every time I open my worn out books, I remember the first time again.

  15. I love them because they transport me to a magical world. The imagination and skill involved in writing these books are amazing. I can however relate to the story since if you ignore the magic there's a lot in the books about friendship, hope, overcoming adversity and loyalty.

  30. I love the way it takes you into such a magical world. I still love the first book the best. I compare the experience to a baby exploring it's world. Looking at it with wonder, everything is so new and exciting....and just magical!

  33. Harry Potter was something I could share with my daughters growing up. We have memories of going to the movies, reading the books, going to the midnight sales parties, binge watching, game playing...you name it. Now I can share with my grandkids too.

  39. Harry Potter is a very complete series... The characters are amazing, obviously, but the history itself and the 'twists' surrounding Horcruxes and the Deathly Hallows have always impressed me!

  43. After rereading and rereading the Harry Potter books keep their magical power. J.K. Rowling probably has put a very powerful love spell on each and every book :) Because I love these books! It really makes me wanna read more and more about subjects in the books, like Philosopher's Stone (Did you see the Ripley Scroll at the The British Library exposition? A recipe for making the Philosopher's Stone!) And I love the Magical Creatures... The sirens and mermaids, dragons , spiders, hippogriffs and...the Fenix. The Harry Potter books bring the wizarding world to our Muggle lifes.

  59. The magic just fascinates me. I have always loved magical stories from being very young. However, these are so well written that it isn't just the magic that I like about them. The relationships and how the stories developed over the entire series of books is absolutely awesome.

  63. How everything was closed so beautifully by J.K Rowling like everything from the first book was connected and how deep it all was. Also the amount of creativity which was put into to create a new game, animals, separate universe is astonishing!

Love the fact that even though they can use magic, they are still shown to have a vulnerable side, they have the same personal problems as we do and the wonderful creatures she invented for the series. They will never get "too dated" and definitely appeal to all ages. Must say, I loved the casting of Alan Rickman as Snape. It was almost as if the role was created for him.
