ˈkīn(d)nəs/ noun

noun: kindness

1 The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

2 Synonyms: kindliness, kindheartedness, warmheartedness, affection, warmth, gentleness, concern, care;

3  More consideration, helpfulness, thoughtfulness, unselfishness, selflessness, altruism, compassion, sympathy, understanding, big-heartedness, benevolence, benignity, friendliness, hospitality, neighborliness; generosity, magnanimity, charitableness "he thanked her for her kindness"

4  A kind act. plural noun: kindnesses "it is a kindness I shall never forget"

Wow! Kindness seems like it should be the easiest thing in the world, but sometimes we forget that a simple act of kindness can change someone’s entire day. Sometimes, it can even influence their actions. You never know what a stranger is going through in their lives. We might judge them unfairly and instead of judging them, an act of kindness could change their outlook on what every struggles they are having.

I know that when I’m kind to another person, it makes me feel good inside and passing that on is even better. I was having a bad morning on the way to work the other day. I stopped at my favorite drive thru coffee place and the person in front of me, paid for my coffee. That simple act of generosity but a smile on my face that had been scowling all morning. I then turned around and passed it on to the person in the car behind me.

So, if kindness makes us feel better, why don’t we practice this everyday? We get lost in our own worlds and forget about the people around us. Think how much better the world would be if we just shared this one simple thing everyday with someone we meet. It doesn’t have to cost anymore than a kind word or gesture. No money spent, but what a wealth of feelings we can get from it.

About Kelly Moore

Hi my name is Kelly Moore and I am Southern girl raised in Florida. I am a registered nurse actually an ICU traveling nurse, wife, mother of two children and I have three grandchildren. I have always been an avid reader and kept journals. Until Broken Pieces, I never had the courage to attempt an erotic romance book and submit it for publishing. I tend to embrace the brokenness in all of us. It makes us who we are. I love to see people come out strong and win against past pains.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing the story.
