  1. They're an easy read, they're generally fast paced and I can relate to the characters and make a connection with my life growing up. In the end, they're books. If a book has a compelling storyline and seems interesting, I'll read it.

  2. I don't often read this type of book but sometimes I am surprised how good they are when I do read one.

  3. "What do you like the most about YA and why?" I like interesting fantasies! They are interesting!

  4. I used t read them quite a lot when my children were younger so I could check out suitable reading material for them. I still enjoy YA for its often great story line that is not usually to hot and heavy.

  5. One of my favorite things about YA novels is the directness of the author's voice (typically) and often the humor. I guess that's two things, although in YA it seems they go hand-in-hand.

  6. They're easy to read. And always have a easy storyline that's great. Not heavy

  7. I don't think I've ever read any. Hopefully the storylines and characters help youngsters understand their own feelings.

  16. I like these because they are an easy read and I then share with my daughters :)

  17. I love them because most child fictions have concepts I don't find interesting, but authors of YA can write about nearly anything they want. Also I usually read about either romance, mystery, comedy, magic or horror and comedy especially has a lot of swearing :)

  18. I like YA because the are usually stories that I can relate to or bring back memories and feelings of being young. I read quite a few YA books.

  25. The subject are usually not to heavy. I love sharing them with my older niece who loves reading.

  26. That it gets so many YAs into reading.

  27. I tend to read more YA because its "tame". The romance is new so its sweet, and if there is sex, its very limited, unlike the adult versions where almost anything seems to go (in writing). At my age I just want to read a book and enjoy it for its entertainment value, not to replace "what I might be missing or have missed as a 20yr old" lol. I grab a YA book way before I grab anything else UNLESS its a mystery novel

  28. It's always very honest and the characters & emotions are the focus.

    ReplyDelete

  32. I really enjoy reading YA from time to time. The stories tend to be, I wouldn't say easier to read, but often, more captivating as they tend to be more innocent and vulnerable.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They are fun, interesting reads.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I just love the variety and the quality of YA literature that is out there today. There is so much more than there was when I was a YA myself.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love young adult books as they often deal with difficult subjects in innovative ways

    ReplyDelete
  36. Eles são fáceis de ler e as vezes abordam questões complicadas da sociedade!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Raw emotions, and behaviors. Somehow makes us look back to our younger years

    ReplyDelete
  38. I love how YA makes me remember being young and all the things I lived through even though at the time I kind of thought I wouldn't!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I like the characters because my daughters are of that age and it's relatable.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The stories are always really refreshing and they're good books to relax with.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The stories can offer a different perspective sometimes, particularly the YA dystopian genre. They can also be quite escapist from some of the more hard hitting grown up fiction and are an alternative to fluffy chic-lit.

    ReplyDelete
  42. They are a great escape & quick, interesting reads.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Books I can shared with my kids. Vast in storylines, very creative, and characters!

    ReplyDelete
