  13. Probably winning £200 in a competition. Sounds shallow but the last few years have been pretty awful; I split with my boyfriend, lost my job and cannot find another one(cos I need part-time) and my lovely cat died, all in the space of 5 months, so the money defo came in handy.

  21. Oh, Suze, for me the best part of 2017 was that we got through it with nothing going wrong! Since 2015, it's just been one thing after the other: Dad died suddenly, Mum was diagnosed with cancer, had an op., got the all clear only for it to return again, another op. & chemo/radiotherapy, all of which brought on a stroke which left her partially blind and with memory lapses. I'm now her full-time carer and it can be tough-going at times but my golden rule is to have at least one big belly laugh every day. Believe me, it has helped immensely!

  36. There was this day in 2017 that was both the worst and best day of my life. I was in a coffee shop, crippled with anxiety and sinking in depression. I had a knife in my car and it would have been easy. I was ready. The next thing I know, I had passed out, knife in my hand and tears on my face. In my panic, I called a friend. She came and saved my life by being there. When you realize someone's there for you, it becomes easier to breathe. That's why it was the best and worst day of my life.

  99. I was lucky enough to meet some of my favourite rugby league players this year. Including the huge favourite I have been a fan of since his last club. BUT the best thing about last year was when I went to their awards ceremony and we were seated on a table for 10. When I looked at the searing plan it showed that I was sat with my favourite player! Poor man, he had to put up with me all night, although he was very lovely and even his wife took photos of me and him and was very kind about the whole thing. Even the other player we had on our table sat next to me and treated me like a VIP, he was always laughing and joking and even at one point stole my strawberry from my plate as I don't like them lol. One of the other guests that night, who I had only just met, stole the seating plan for me so I could get the players from the table to sign it. Was an amazing night and hopefully will be doing it again this year.
