I would probably have to say Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. I read that book so many times as a child and though I haven't read it in years, I have so many fond memories of that book. I just loved all of the magic in it and the little twists and turns that the story took.

ReplyDeleteMy all-time fave is actually a book from my childhood I absolutely adored "My Bedtime Book of Magic Carpet Stories From Many Lands" by Patricia Taylor. It sparked my love for reading & travelling too!

ReplyDeleteHARRY POTTER is my favourite. All the books have such wonderful characters and magical beasts. Love the idea that the owls bring the mail, wish our postman did that instead. The casting in the films was spot on for me to, and loved Alan Rickman as Snape, it was as if the character was written with him in mind.

ReplyDeleteI love Ariel the Little Mermaid, because it is just a sweet, amazing story. Beauty and the Beast would definitely be my second favorite!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say it's my favourite but I think Robin D. Owens' Celta series is really underrated. It's about magical settlers (humans) on another planet and I really like it.

ReplyDeleteI love fairy tales from Hans Christian Andersen and The Little Witch by Otfried Preußler because they would magically send me to the magical world. The stories were easy to follow, and i love the usually beautiful or cute illustrations in the books which make the stories even more magical.
