  1. I love reading novels that were written over 200 years ago and still feeling connected to the characters. I love how she wrote in such an eloquent, polite style and yet inserted witty jabs and remarks. I love, most of all, how a woman from an era when they were thought to be simply social beings was able to become one of the most celebrated authors of all time.

  2. I love so much about them, but I think what I love most of all is the witty dialogue. It's amazing how easy and timeless they are to read - hard to believe they were written so long ago!!

  9. I admire the fact that she wrote such wonderful, intriguing novels that take us back to a time in history where it was unthinkable that a woman could actually do such a thing. Her novels are full of love and interesting characters. They are a joy to read.

  13. Her characters are very realistic. They are characters that you could likely meet today. She writes of people who are vain, weak, foolish, selfish, kind or struggling with their past. Her writing is elegant and entertaining!
