As Sadie Sleeps

One fatal mistake can have a very high price, especially when the result is a constant loop that can't be broken.

Dead Zones Are Arbitrary

Doing the worst imaginable has consequences. There's no way to stop them, even when running away as fast as possible seems to be the best option.

Skin

An art project that costs dearly is nearly flawless in the eyes of the creator, but can perfection ever be reached?

A Day In The Death

Going back to the place of a crime to relive the past once more is a risky undertaking. Especially when there are plenty of warning signals against this decision. However, sometimes the lure is just too strong.

In Moments in Oblivion Yolanda Olson shares four short horror stories with her readers. They are creepy, shocking and bizarre. She manages to paint a perfectly clear picture with just a few words, which I found incredibly admirable. The tales she tells are terrible, the main characters are being punished and they're going through the most unimaginable horrors, which is exactly what good eerie stories should be like.

Yolanda Olson definitely frightened me with her stories. They each are an awful nightmare, they are repulsive and gory and they're harsh and twisted. They made me feel sick to my stomach, I wanted to keep reading, while I also wanted to close my eyes and stop looking at the same time. Yolanda Olson definitely knows how to write a good horror story. The quality of the writing is great and the stories are all surprising. She writes about evil in an effortless way that really impressed me. Moments in Oblivion is original, dark and fabulously deranged.

Advice

If you love creepy twisted horror Moments in Oblivion would be an excellent choice.
