  5. I try to read 50 books a year, I wish I could read more. The only challenge I take part in is the Goodreads challenge, because I like how it keeps tracks of all the books I read that year.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I usually just set my own goals and try to reach them. This year I set it for 50 books.

  7. "How many books do you read per year and do you take part in reading challenges, why/why not?" I set no goals, and I would never want to "speed read."

    ReplyDelete
  8. I never take part in reading challenges, because I like to read organically. I may read between fifty and sixty books per year. Depending on how busy my life is!

  9. I don't get time for reading but my Mum reads a lot; she can read a book in a couple of days!

  10. I read around 100 books a year and yes I am participating in challenges too (on Goodreads) as it allows me an overview of the past year in reading and I like to know whether I can surpass my goal (last year I did, yay).

  11. it really depends on my health how much I read, I do not take part in challanges mainly because of costs and the fact that the kind of books I'm most interest of are not usually in such challanges

  12. In better yeras it can be 400 but the avarage 200 I always read. I usually don't participate in reading challenges because I'm a mood reader and restrictions and pressure they place on me don't help. However this year I decided to try a couple of them.

  17. I want to read 15 books this year. Not much, a few years ago I read 80 per year, but I really dont have so much time now or money to buy all the books. I usually take part in the goodreads challenge and maybe another challenge about a genre I want to read more.

  18. Last year I read 150 books and took part in the Good Reads and Pop Reads challenges. This year I aim to try to find a couple more interessting/challenging challenges to try. I am aiming for about 120 books this year. Last year was the first year I was able too get any reading done since college and working as a full time lab tech.

  19. I always do the goodreads reading challenge. Last year I read 298 books :) I like being able to track what I've read and since I'm a kindle reader, it's very easy to do since Amazon and Goodreads are partners. THanks or the awesome giveaway!

  20. I read abot 15 a year - so one a month but maybe 2 a month during the Summer. I don't take part in any book/reading challenges simply because I am too busy with a young family and a dog and I don't have the time.

  21. I probably read about 50 a year but I don't count so that's only a guess and could be more. I don't participate in reading challenges of any description because I like to read what I choose and whenever I want to.

  22. I read loads - about 12 every 3 weeks, or even more. Don't really enter any reading challenges as I keep forgetting to keep an eye on the amount I read. Although the 12 every 3 weeks is my library books, I will read bought ones too so it's probably a lot more. I think next year's resolution will be to see how many I read.

  45. I read verrasoly I'm not a slow reader and my mind turns the books into video format as I read. As of 31 days ago I have read 15 books, if I stay on track to read every thing I want, all I want I should be well above my curve which is set at least 15 to 25 book in a month, and don't worry I find something to enjoy about almost all books, except Horror, books that deal with rape or incest. I am a survivor of both. So for Feb I should read at least 20 books. That means westerns, sweet Christian, blushing books, mysyteries, I'm top heavy with them right now. Outland serious (Dianna needs must finish #9) I have said enough. God Bless all of you keep reading from politics, to sify enjoy all.
