  3. I'm always busy before, during and after Christmas as I do a lot of singing in choirs and in the local Pantomime (Cinderella this year!), so I always head for short stories or poetry at this time of year!

  14. Well, during the winter holidays I am drawn to cozy reads, it doesn't matter though whether it's a romance or a mystery, but I like the cozy setting which fits my mood then.

  20. My main reads are YA books that are light in romance or no romance at all, a lot of dystopia. I love trilogies and navigate to those first when adding books to my wish list at indigo. I don't mine good mysteries and I like zombies and fae LOL. I['m reading a book my daughter gave me and I find it depressing and am having a hard time reading it (its not the type of thing I normally read) When I first met my husband I'd read true crime stuff, a lot of crimes specifically to the area we were in and he once joked to me he was "Somewhat" worried about my hobby

  28. I think it depends on the time of year. Right now, I favour holiday romances. Generally speaking, like spring or summer holidays, it's a psychological thriller or mystery that keeps me guessing.

  30. I just love to read. When I have time off work I tend to read more intensively in chunks of time rather than for smaller periods (during my lunch break etc) I suppose when I have time off, my preferred book would be something I can really get my teeth into. I read The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty recently and that was a great book to 'binge' on.

  35. I tend to take a couple of easier reading books (such as The Woman at 72 Derry Lane), plus a thriller or crime novel such as Stephen Leather, Lee Child, Karin Slaughter etc.

    The 1st help me relax whereas the latter make my brain work a bit.

  44. I like to read mysteries, thrillers, horror, and some young adult. I just read whichever I want to whenever I feel like it, to be honest, lol I don't have a certain list or "order" in which to read any books. I tend to read slower than most people so I take my time and enjoy the books :)

  45. I almost always read psychological thrillers, I love crime fiction. But I do take a break from time to time and read outside my comfort zone. For example 'Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine' was one of my top reads in 2017.
