  2. My favourite thing about the Harry Potter series is the feeling of nostalgia it gives me. It makes me remember the person I was the first time I read them, and the friends I had at that time and everything. :)

  5. What I love most about the books is that the characters were so relatable, despite their abilities to use magic. Their struggles were real in my mind thanks to Rowling's wonderful writing skills. Their problems were very similar to the ones we face in our ordinary lives. Relationships, friendships, loyalty and morality are huge parts of the series. Harry Potter connects me to my childhood. Every time I open my worn out books, I remember the first time again.

  7. I love the way Jo Rowling managed to bring reading back to millions of children who thought it was "uncool", and made an entire generation see that love can be vital weapons in the fights against fascism and evil, especially in todays world

  14. That's a hard one!! I love so much about the Harry Potter stories and have read them over and over! If I had to pick... probably the incredible immersive detail that makes you feel like you're THERE, that it's real. :)) I'm a Hufflepuff so am so excited to be in this competition!! :D

  16. What I like the most about the Harry Potter stories is the continuity. We followed Harry and his friends as they grew up. We we're there in their adventures, their fights & their victories.

    The best part of Harry Potter to me are the magical animals: from unicorns to elfs to griffins and dragons, I loved how excitement brought to the stories!

  23. I loved reading the YA books to and with my kids!! They've moved out of house and home but I still have the books to re-read and remind me of those times. Perhaps one year I'll be a grandmother and will read them to my grandkids.

  46. J.K.Rowling is great at creating characters with all sorts of quirks and personalities and really imaginative names. I'm sure she had fun deciding what to name each character.
