  2. My husband is the single most amazing person and for some inexplicable reason loves me back. He often says incredibly romantic things but the one thing that completely slayed me was a to-do/bucket list that he had written which I was never meant to see. His top item was; "Be a better person for Solange". I love him stupid amounts.

  8. I think the most romantic gestures are the ones that take you completely by surprise, the ones that are not typically "romantic". My ex-boyfriend and I hadn't been together that long when one Friday night he visited me and suggested we get a takeaway for tea and he's paying! I was stunned!

  27. I think what's romantic are the little every day things you do for someone to make them happy &/or those tasks you know the other person hates. One of those things for me is filling my car with gas.

  31. My x-bf (we are still friends and I go and have coffee with his wife quite often - we just didn't gel after a while) asked my boss if I could have the weekend off and arranged a posh hotel and tickets to see my favourite football team play at home. Very romantic for me as although he is a huge footie fan, he supports their "rivals". He even hired a lovely car for the duration too.
