Paige is a single mother and her son Jason is the light of her life. Unfortunately Jason is ill and he needs aggressive treatment before they can operate. The surgery isn't without risks either, so Paige constantly worries about the well-being of her son. She tries to make ends meet, but paying the medical bills doesn't leave much for Christmas presents. That's why she reluctantly asks the Wish I May foundation for help. Will they be able to give Jason a special Christmas?

Daniel doesn't believe in love. He works as a lawyer and has seen so many relationships fail that he doesn't think he will ever find someone to spend the rest of his life with. When he meets Paige and Jason his heart thaws a little though. While he's giving them a magical Christmas he also gets something in return, warmth and kindness. Will this be the start of a precious meaningful relationship?

A Child's Christmas is a beautiful story about kindness, true love and generosity. Jason is extraordinary. He's a wonderful wise and talented kid. Reading about him gave me a bittersweet feeling. His gorgeous personality kept making me smile and his illness made me sad. I loved the honest and emphatic way Kate James writes about his problems. The love Jason gives to the people around him warmed my heart and his clever remarks are adorable. His personality is the best part of the book for me, he really shines, which is amazing.

Paige is a sweet mother. She does everything she can to make her son's life as fun as possible. She isn't afraid to ask for help if that would improve Jason's situation. That's how she meets Daniel, a handsome man with a good heart. They're incredible people and it's clear from the start that they belong together. I love stories about soul mates and know this one will stay with me for a long time because of the shared love and affection for Jason.

Kate James has a lovely writing style that has a nice easy flow. She's great at creating the exact right atmosphere for her stories and that always enchants me right from the start. A Child's Christmas is a perfect Christmas read, it has that heartwarming true holiday spirit. It's a fantastic story filled with many moving moments. I highly recommend this impressive book.

Chelsea and Sam meet when they are both at work. Sam is a police officer and Chelsea is present at the scene of a robbery just after it happened. Not much later there's a problem with the authenticity of a painting at the gallery she works for. They're attracted to one another, but because of Sam's job and the ongoing investigations it isn't wise for him to go out with Chelsea. Will he be able to stay away though?

Chelsea tries to help Sam with his cases. She keeps her eyes and ears open and isn't afraid to snoop when the situation requires it. Will they eventually manage to uncover the truth behind both the robbery and the forgery? While spending so much time together they inevitably get to know each other better, do they have a chance even if the circumstances are far from ideal?

A Priceless Find is a gripping romantic story. Chelsea is smart and capable. I liked her fierceness and the fact that she follows her instincts. She can be impulsive and I liked her spirit. Sam is serious. He's been through a lot and it isn't easy for him to open up to someone, but Chelsea's disarming personality manages to do the trick. They're wonderful together and I really enjoyed reading about the developments in both their relationship and the investigation.

Kate James has written a fabulous story about beautiful art and complicated schemes. I couldn't wait to find out who was behind the robbery and the forgery. Of course I had my suspicions and it was fun to find out if I was right. Kate James's writing style is warm and welcoming. She combines this with a thrilling case, which made it impossible for me to put A Priceless Find down. I absolutely loved this fabulous story.

Advice

If you love gripping romantic stories you'd certainly like a Priceless Find. It's the second book in the Camden Falls series, but can easily be read as a standalone.
