2,000,000 Views Thank You Post & Giveaway

Thank You
By Suze

Today With Love for Book reached a beautiful milestone, our 2 millionth view. I'm very proud we've managed to come this far. When I started a book blog together with Anniek I knew what to expect when it came to writing reviews and blogging itself, but I had no idea how much fun we'd have together. Running the blog is a daily joy. I love our book chats and Anniek has taught me a lot about being brave and standing up for myself, she made me bolder and more outspoken and less afraid to ask for something. We learn from each other every day and I love her spirit and her enthusiasm. We are both perfectionists, but have fortunately never lost sight of what we started this blog for, to share our love for our mutual biggest passion, books.

With Love for Books is a positive only space. We like to recommend, to cheer authors on and to express our admiration for good stories. Anniek and I want to support and strive to let as many people as possible know how much we enjoyed something. It's an approach that makes us happy. Getting positive feedback when we post a review from readers, publishers and authors is what keeps us going. Making someone's day because of a prize we sent, is something we like a lot as well. It's what makes us want to blog and it's what puts a big smile on our faces.

Friendship is the most important driving force behind With Love for Books. Not only have Anniek and I become even closer friends through our daily updates and book discussions, but we've also met many wonderful people through our blog. This warms my heart every single day and I know Anniek feels the exact same way. It's the best feeling there is. Anniek and I are close and together we've become close to many incredibly special people. Thank you all for your amazing support and heartwarming friendship.

  1. Friendship means making a committment to each other to always try: try to understand, try to be there, try to share/celebrate each other's passions... to love the person as they are but leaving room for them (and yourself) to grow. Something like that.

  2. Friendship, to me, means much the same as love; that is true acceptance of another person for simply being that person.

  4. Friendship to me means understanding, even if not agreeing. It means forgiveness, not forgetting. It means being there for your friend when the need arises, it means making the effort to stay in contact even if oceans separate you. (Elizabeth Matthiesen)

  26. To me friendship is someone who has your best interest at heart. Trust me, it shows. It's someone you can call in your time of need. They won’t watch you drown if they can help it. It's someone who can and will check you when you’re wrong. Anyone who cosigns on bad decisions is not someone who you should keep in your circle. It's someone who will challenge you to do better because they want only the best for you. They will offer constructive criticism, whether you like it or not. Your real friends will tell you like it is. I can go on all day about the qualities of a real friend, but this comment will turn into an essay real quick. Bottom line, in my opinion, sooner or later you know who is who and you should treat them accordingly.
