Review by Anniek
John kills people for money. He tried to walk away from it once, but that didn't work out. With his brother's life as leverage his boss still gets him to do the job he's hired to do. John just kills bad people, this is his only rule. His life instantly changes when he gets a new assignment. His boss is willing to pay a lot of money to have Brooklyn killed. Brooklyn is the daughter of the president and the one woman John can't get out of his head. When plan A is no longer an option, will John be able to keep everyone safe with his plan B?
Brooklyn's used to a life in the spotlights and being the daughter of the president has given her a lot of privileges, but also plenty of unwanted attention. She has found the cure for cancer. The existing pharmaceutical companies will be losing a load of money when her cure will be released. They want to be the ones to bring it on the market, so they can reap the profits of this medicine themselves. Brooklyn needs to work together with John to stay alive. What will happen when love goes against their better judgment?
Brooklyn is a force to be reckoned with. She's smart, gorgeous and fierce. She loves with all her heart and is able to do whatever she puts her mind to. Her quick thinking saved her on numerous occasions. This time though she might be in over her head. Brooklyn and John spent one night together and they never expected to see each other again. Because of John's life he isn't suited for love, he can't have another weak spot. Being around Brooklyn is tempting and he knows he has to let her go. He is a killer, however, he's also an incredibly caring man. John puts the safety of others before his own. When he and Brooklyn are together there's no stopping them, which is something I loved about their story.
Taking Down Brooklyn is the first book written by K.B. Andrews and Kelly Moore as a duo. I've always been a fan of Kelly Moore's work and couldn't wait to read Taking Down Brooklyn. I loved John and Brooklyn, their chemistry is off the charts. They are people who come from very different backgrounds and yet they are united souls. Taking Down Brooklyn grabbed me from the start. I love it when two authors can make a story come to life so perfectly. K.B. Andrews and Kelly Moore's writing style has a wonderful flow, which makes it easy to follow the story. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough and was really eager to find out what would happen next. I absolutely loved this emotional roller coaster and I hope that K.B. Andrews and Kelly Moore will team up again to write another brilliant story.
If you're looking for an action packed story full of suspense I highly recommend Taking Down Brooklyn.

About Kelly Moore
Hi my name is Kelly Moore and I am Southern girl raised in Florida. I am a registered nurse actually an ICU traveling nurse, wife, mother of two children and I have three grandchildren. I have always been an avid reader and kept journals. Until Broken Pieces, I never had the courage to attempt an erotic romance book and submit it for publishing. I tend to embrace the brokenness in all of us. It makes us who we are. I love to see people come out strong and win against past pains.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing the story.
