  1. There are so many but the first one that comes to mind is The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. It's a heart-wrenching tale of grief, love and forgiveness that will make you laugh and cry. Beautifully written and manages to be funny, heartbreaking and joyful all at once. This is not another teenage girly romance book - it's poetry in it's most beautiful form.

  3. There are so many, but if I had to pick one that I've read in recent years that I always think about and go back to its The Hunger Games. I borrowed the trilogy from a friend not expecting much and ended up binging the entire series in just under a week. I couldn't eat, sleep, or pay attention in class I was that enthralled in the world and the characters. The world was insane and well developed, I loved Katniss, and though I didn't care for the romance I appreciated both Gale and Peta.
