  1. Depending on the size of the books. Usually in 2 sitting. A bit longer if I am not so excited about a book.

  2. It very much depends on the length and content of a book (some I will devour in a sitting while I will nibble on others for several days, so to speak), but what is important to me is that it's quiet, because this makes reading much more enjoyable to me. One of my "quirks" if you want to call it that ways, is to only read a book at a time. I never understood how someone can read half a dozen books at a time, I mean, if a book is really good why should I stop and continue with another and if it's really bad I'd declare it DNF and move on to the next without looking back.

  3. I read every opportunity I get - little and often. I rarely get long periods of uninterrupted time, but I make up for that by grasping every few minutes I can get.

  4. I like to finish a chapter before I stop reading, if the chapter's too long then at the end of a scene. I usually read two books at a time at the most; and I prefer the quiet because it's easier to concentrate.

  5. I like reading 3 or 4 chapters before bed. More during the day if it's quiet.

  6. I usually stop reading at the end of a chapter and like to finish one book before starting the next.

  7. I read what I can, when I can. So I sometimes have to stop in the middle of a chapter, etc. I don't waste a moment of my day when it comes to reading. I take my books and tablet wherever I go and read waiting in line at the store, while waiting at the doctor's office, and in between other tasks throughout the day. =]

  8. I like to stop at the end of a chapter and I really only read one book at a time!!

  9. I try to finish my chapters before I stop. I always finish my book before starting anew one. I do prefer it to be silence when I read.

  10. I read when I want to read and stop that way too. I start a new one when I finished a book.

  11. I usually read in the evening and finish the chapter. I only read one book at a time.

  12. I stop at paragraph breaks, I read at least 3 books at a time, and I do like quiet but I have trained myself to block out noise so it's fine if people start talking. :)

  13. I'm your typical 'just one more chapter' kind of reader, so it's not until I hear the birds dawn chorus that I realise I have to up in a couple of hours! Yawn!

  14. I'm always reading more than one book at a time. Especially since I have them on 2 Kindles, physical copies, and my phone. I like to read in one sitting, but also stop at the end of a chapter or random places if I'm sleepy or interrupted.

  15. I read at night. It depends on the book really.....usually takes me a week or so. I am not the fastest reader.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I read when I'm going to sleep. I read until I feel sleepy, then bookmark the page and leave it til the next day, or next time I get back to the book. I usually don't read more than one book at a time. Boring but that's how I read, lol

  17. I read whenever I get a chance. Sometimes i do have like 2 books going at once. I'll pick one up and then maybe pick up the other one later.

  21. I read in one sitting and I make sure I finish a chapter before I stop. I always finish reading a book before I start a new one and it doesn't have to be silent when I read though I do prefer it.

  22. At this point in my life I have the time now to read a book through in one sitting. That's if I love the book and Author's work. It's rare that I suddenly stop reading I will read till I'm done with the paragraph at least. I enjoy listening to music while reading.

  23. I read when I'm bored or want to relax. It doesn't have to be completely silent. I stop after reading some chapters and it has to be in between chapters. Sometimes I read books simultaneously. But most of the time, I prefer to read one book at a time.

  24. I read any chance I can get, but mostly during my commute to and from work. Ideally, I like to finish the chapter, but sometimes, I will keep going for as long as I can. I read one book and listen to one audiobook simultaneously.

  25. I read when I can, but with 6 kids sometimes its hard to find the opportunity, my husband will take the kids out to give me reading time! I finish the paragraph but sometimes I just have to put the book down to sort the kids out

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have to snatch an opportunity to get in a few pages when I can.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I could only read one book at a time, be too confusing otherwise! I aim to finish a chapter before putting the book down, if possible.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I sit on sofa with cushion on knees and always try to finish chapter before stopping! I can read a few at a time, depending on carrying them around x

    ReplyDelete
  30. I read whenever I have free time and I really want to finish the chapter before I stop. I haven't really read many books I one sitting. I also can't read more many books at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I read anywhere even in queues so I stop and start in random places. I am always reading one written (usually ebook) and one audio book at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I always take my book with me, so I read everywhere. I can't stop reading until I finish the chapter, which is something that makes me never stop reading, as I say "Ok, next one seems to be a short one, let's read another one!! " And so on... hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can only read one book at a time or the characters jump from story to story. I have to stop at random intervals even though I'd usually prefer to read longer. Thanks

  34. I often stop reading at a random moment. Sometimes I read more than one book a time e.g. if I'm reading something particularly dark, scary or sad, I have something lighter on the go as well to read before I go to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I read until I fall asleep, usually with book in hand. Never have I had two books going at the same time. At my age (almost 69) I'd probably get the two storylines mixed up! And yes, I have to have quiet to read.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I read till I start dozing off :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I read as much as I can when I can, but I prefer to stop at the end of a chapter or scene if possible. It makes picking up where I left off a little easier. Also, I prefer to finish one book before I start on another.

  38. I read absolutely loads but can't get about as much, so have time. I can't read and leave it at a random bit in a chapter I have to finish the chapter and if I'm within 3 chapters of the end, I have to read it until the end. Can't read too many at once as I forget and wonder why one character isn't in the booo. Can read any time and often ignore people (not deliberately) because I'm so engrossed.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Unless I'm on holiday, I take AGES to finish a book because I read at night while I'm falling asleep, so I normally only manage a few pages at a time!!! I sometimes read a few books at once, so I have a little pile of books I'm busy with in my bedside cabinet.

  40. I went through a phase where I was reading more than one book at a time, but I found it confused me when it came time to write reviews. So, now, I make sure I read and review a book before I read a new one.

  43. I usually sit in the living room with the pups on my lap and read as i am severely disabled and that is the best place i would love to sit outside but there are hawks and the dogs can't sit out without me watching them all the time!

  44. I am very anal with my reading. I will read any time any place anywhere, but only ever one book at a time and when I stop it's always at the end of the paragraph on the left hand page - so I know where I am.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I want it to be quiet when I read so I can really get into the story. I want to finish a chapter before I stop reading if I'm not gonna read the entire book in one sitting, but sadly there are times wherein I have to stop abruptly and stop at a random page.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I read when I have the time. I have a 8 year old daughter and sometimes I have to put the book down in that exact moment. But I do ofter read a book in one sitting (or two) and I always strive to at least finish that chapter :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I always have one physical book that I read during the day, one ebook at night, and I just recently started listening to audiobooks so I can 'read' while doing household chores and commutes. I'm usually a finish til the start of a new chapter kind of reader. :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. I don't have regular reading times, I just read when I can. Usually a chapter or two a day

    ReplyDelete
  62. I read on my breaks and lunch hour at work. I try to read from chapter to chapter, but it is more difficult to do that on my shorter breaks, but I never stop in the middle of a chapter, I have to read to a break in the text (whether it be the end of the chapter or a break in the chapter).

    ReplyDelete
  63. I tend to finish chapters unless I get interrupted. I juggle several books at once. Sometimes I binge-read for hours at a time, otherwise it's 10-30 minutes here and there.

  64. I usually read two books at the same time: an ebook and a paperback or hardcover (and different genres). I stop reading when I finish a chapter and it has to be quite or I can't concentrate, especially if I'm reading fantasy. If I'm listening to music I just start singing and can't read LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. I never start a new book until I finish the first one, otherwise I will mix up the characters and events :D I always stop after I'm done with a chapter, never randomly. And yeah, it kinda has to be silent, or some calm music playing :)
