ReplyDeleteIt's been a bit of a rough few weeks so I've been wrapped up in Reasons To Stay Alive by Matt Haig - a great comfort read, irrespective of the season!
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Dressmaker's Dowry by Meredith Jaeger. Her debt novel. Fantastic read. One of my new favorites. Can't wait for her next book.

My favorite Spring read was Solo by Jill Mansell because it held my interest.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite spring read so far is A Dead Husband by Anna Celeste Burke. I love cozy mysteries and this author really rocks the genre.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was about 8 (many moons ago) I was given a copy of RLS' A Child's Garden of Verses and I still have it although it's now held together with sticky tape & elastic bands! Some poems are quite dark and deal with solitude but that was perfect as I was ill a lot as a child and watched the seasons come and go through my bedroom window.
ReplyDeleteI have just finished Strange the Dreamer and it was... well strange and also good. I have been in a bit of a daze since I finished it and anything I have read since has not been absorbed.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite read, so far, this spring, is One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus. It was just such a compelling read. It was different for me, as I tend towards contemporary romances, but I enjoyed every second of it.
