  2. I have many favourite authors, but since this question asks for one favourite author, I'll go ahead and say, Stephen King because he's the father of descriptive writing and his plots leave you in awe.

  3. I love horror so I'd say it's a toss up between Stephen King and Dean Koontz. But I remember reading Walter Farley's Black Stallion series as a young girl and becoming addicted to reading, so I have to include him.

  9. I love Santa Montefiore's books - she just has the knack of telling the stories in such a way that you can't help but be caught up in it. Once I start I just can't put it down and am longing to read the next book.

  14. I love a number of authors: Margaret Atwood, Elizabeth Hay, Jhumpa Lahiri, Anthony Marra. All word wizards that know how to create literary fiction---beautiful, dark characters whose raw emotions seem so real.

  16. That's a really hard one, but a huge Chris Carter fan. I love his crime (with a bit of gore) books and his 2 main characters are almost like friends now. I can picture them in my head. I have read every one of his at the moment and they are so readable (is that even a word lol) that I read his new one in TWO DAYS as I couldn't put it down. Only problem is I can't wait to read his next one now.

  41. Don't really have a favourite Author. I look at a book and read the profile of the author and then decide if I want to read it. I'm a 'tart' reader - I read anything/most books I can lay my hands on...lol

  46. My current favourite author is Neil Gaiman, but all time is Cecelia Ahern. Huge contrast, I know. :)
    Gaiman's books are a page-turner and often thought provoking.
