Dean has broken Abby's heart. She always thought they had something special, but now she's divorced and she and her daughter Dani are back in her hometown Glenwood Falls. Abby is done with hockey, but Dani has other plans, she wants to try out for her school's team, which is coed. The coach of the junior hockey team is Dean's best friend Jackson. He's always been hostile to Abby and she doesn't look forward to running into him on a regular basis. Was it really a good plan to move back to Glenwood Falls? Abby might be done with hockey, but it clearly isn't done with her.
Jackson loved Abby from the moment he laid eyes on her. He was too afraid to let her know how he felt when they were in high school and then his friend Dean made a move, so he lost his chance with the girl of his dreams. His loyalty to Dean made him treat her with contempt. That way they'd never find out how he felt. He pretends to hate her when they meet again, but can he keep doing that now that she's back in town to stay? She's single and that means he can finally tell her how he feels, but is he courageous enough this time or will his nerves make it impossible for him once more?
Maybe This Time is a wonderful romantic story. Abby is a sweetheart. She's always trying to do the right thing and she wants to make something of her life. I admired her determination and her love for her daughter. She's independent and she's a dedicated mother. Dani is a great outgoing kid and it was fun to read about her passion for hockey. She and Jackson have an instant connection and seeing the way he treats her daughter makes it more difficult for Abby to dislike him. Jackson is a kind and caring man and being there for the people he loves is very important to him. He's a fantastic coach and he knows how to handle difficult situations. The only thing he doesn't know how to deal with is his love for Abby. It was endearing to read about his deep feelings for her. They're both incredibly sympathetic and deserve a chance to be happy. I couldn't wait to find out if they would and was spellbound from the moment I started to read their story.
Jennifer Snow has a lovely descriptive writing style. I really liked the way she writes about hockey and applaud that she writes about girls trying out for the junior team. That made the story even more special for me. Her writing is sympathetic and I loved the way she makes her character's feelings come to life. I could easily understand their emotions and had tears in my eyes when they were unhappy and smiled when things were going well for them. Abby and Jackson are made for each other and I loved their amazing meaningful connection. Maybe This Time is a sparkling, captivating and heartwarming story.
If you love small town romance with gorgeous and athletic main characters and plenty of love you will definitely enjoy Maybe This Time.

Hayley never wants to get married. She's a successful divorce lawyer, but after a disastrous interview about men her bosses think some damage control should be done. She comes across as hateful and heartless in a magazine article and that isn't the kind of publicity they can use. To convince them she isn't just harsh and cold she lets her bosses believe she will bring her fiancé to a business retreat in Maui. There's only one small issue, she isn't seeing anyone.
Chase's sister is a wedding planner. She's a big believer of true love and thinks that's exactly what her brother needs, so whenever they meet she's trying to set him up. She's chosen Maui as her wedding location, as she has fond memories of the island. Chase doesn't want to be the victim of another one of his sister's matchmaking schemes. When he meets Hayley on the plane on his way to Maui and finds out about her problem he's offering her a deal that will be beneficial to both of them. He will play Hayley's fiancé and she will be his date for the wedding. It's a perfect arrangement, but what will happen when their time together starts to feel real instead of fake?
Her Holiday Fling is a sexy feel good story. Hayley is independent, sharp, smart and determined. She sometimes speaks before she thinks and that often gets her in trouble. The situations she lands herself in are pretty funny and her personality constantly made me smile. When she's dug a hole for herself she also needs to find a way to climb out again and she has a creative way of doing that. She needs someone to impress her bosses and Chase is her savior. He's a heroic policeman and he's always there to help people out. There's only one area he doesn't excel in and that is relationships. He's a gentle and generous man and a lot of women like him a lot, but he doesn't want to get married. His job is dangerous and not many people can handle that, which is why he never lets anyone come close again. When he meets Hayley he instantly likes her and their chemistry is amazing. They are both adamant they don't want to get married, but fall very much in love. I couldn't wait to find out where that would lead and flew through the pages of this hot sunny book.
Jennifer Snow has written a wonderful story that can easily be read in one sitting. Her writing sparkles and her vivid descriptions make both the island and her main characters come to life really well. I loved the romantic setting with the beautiful sea and waterfalls. It's an ideal place to fall in love and I liked the idea of two people who are overwhelmed by it because they are looking for something completely different in life. Chase's job and everything he's been through bring some great extra depth. Together with the light and cheerful nature of the rest of the story this creates a good balance. Her Holiday Fling is fun, flirty and sensual, it's a lovely uplifting read.
If you like sexy romantic stories with good looking main characters and a great exotic setting you will love Her Holiday Fling.
