  3. Cinderella because the moral of the story sends a great message. That people should always fight for what they want with a good heart and hard work. Cinderella is never negative or angry due to how poorly her stepsisters and stepmother treat her, and she keeps working hard despite things seeming hopeless.

  11. I don't know why but I tend to like the bittersweet, even sad, tales such as The Children of Lir or even Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince & Other Tales.

  15. I've always liked "Sleeping Beauty" best, as a child, because she had the prettiest dress from all the princesses in my fairytale book, and as adult, because I love the magical awaking through the prince's kiss.

    1. Forgot the why? I love the fairytale magic of it, the fairy godmother waving her wand and Cinderella being dressed in a beautiful gown, and looking like a princess (such a contrast from her day to day attire), the pumpkin coach, the romance of dancing with a prince. Oh, it was just every girl's daydream.

  19. The Princess and the Pea made a big impression on me when I first read it in primary school. I don't know why as having the ability to detect a tiny lump through 40 mattresses is a weird super power but I wanted to be that sensitive and special!

  22. These are so cute! Thanks for the chance to win them. :D My favorite fairy tale is probably the one about the tailor and the shoemaker who travel to the city for more work. It shows that you never know when you might need a kindness so you should always show kindness to others.

  32. I read Thumbelina in a beautiful illustrated edition of Hans Christian Andersen when in was a kid, and the image of Thumbelina caring for her little bird friend always stuck with me.

  57. Cinderella, the version I had as a kid had 3 balls. I loved the pretty dresses then, but now I like that that Cinders and the prince had a bit more time to actually get to know each other.

  60. I liked the fairy tales in the book The Woman in the Moon when I was a kid. I don't really have a favorite fairy tale. If you mean the mainstream/well-known ones, maybe Pinocchio because I understand Geppetto's longing for a child.

  107. Beauty and the beat is my favorite that library tho honestly as a kidtho the storyits self had a darker twist since i never read the disney version till later but for me it was more good vs evil and how if you trusted your own heart you could over come anything
