  13. I absolutely loved It's Never Okay to Borrow Someone Else's Toothbrush by Richard Grady - such an easy read as it is just quotes and good words, but loved exploring a new type of book and was ease of reading.

  42. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness & Siobhan Dowd was my favourite in 2016, because this book is so cute and amazing. Okay, maybe a little tragic, but the plot need this.

  48. My book of 2016 is Archangel's Heart by Nalini Singh. I've fallen in love with these characters and am always glad to see them and their interactions with each other, along with an extremely well-written story.

  64. Books 1 and 2 of the Map Maker's trilogy by S.E. Grove because it was unique and interesting! I definitely will reread the books! I do need to get the 3 and last one still!

  68. "Swing Time" by Zadie Smith.

    I'm currently working on a library copy, and likely won't finish it for a while. (For reference, it was released near the end of 2016.) I want to savor every last word and page.

    Zadie Smith is one of my favorite literary voices. I think that she's brilliant, and I admire her greatly. Her work has long been a source of encouragement and inspiration, particularly for me as a writer.

  73. My 2016 book is Lies we tell ourselves by Robin Talley. It was my comeback to teen dramas and it was refreshing, honest and different. I love the author's approach and love the main characters.

  81. Can't pick just one. Ensnared by A. G. Howard, A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas and The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi. The three of them were my favorites of 2016, they had amazing stories full of imagination and unique worlds. They were so creative and magical, I loved them

  86. The Lois Lane books by Gwenda Bond, because I love comics, but even without knowing anything about Lois Lane and Smallvilleguy it's still a very fun YA series. I can't wait for the third one to come out.
