  1. I sometimes take part, but rarely finish them completely. Too many books to distract me from the instructions of the challenges.

  4. For me it depends on the challenge. I also like for there to be a prize at the end, LOL! it can be anything I just like knowing there is something!

  7. I struggle with challenges in general, but I love a 24 hour read-a-thon, and I recently had a great time with the Dumbledore's Army Read-a-thon.

  8. Apart from the Goodreads reading challenges with a certain amount of books I want to read I haven't participated in more specific challenges these past few years. Some years back I hosted two book challenges (when I was still actively book blogging) - one was for non fiction and the other for chunksters aka tomes with more than 600 pages.

  10. The only book challenge that I take part is the one on goodreads, where we can establish a goal of books to read in one year.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I have in the past. Last year I did the 50 Book Pledge. This year I kind of made my own with books and series I know I'd like to read this year.

  16. I have never taken part in a book challenge. I just like to read whatever I want at my own pace.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I only really worry about the Goodreads challenge, I am not organized enough to do all the cool, intricate ones I see, but maybe someday!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Not I just read what I want when I want

  21. Great giveaway again, thank you. I take part in the yearly Goodreads challenge, its a nice way to keep track of my reading over the year. I do take part in some readathons when I have time. I enjoy those for the twitter chats as we read.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't do readathons or challenges; I'm too busy reading!

    ReplyDelete
  32. No, I don't participate in book challenges. My life is challenging enough without more pressure in it, lol

  34. I don't need to challenge myself- i read all yearlong!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't take part in challenges bc I don't want to stress myself about what I read. However, I decided to participate in Goodreads challenge this year.

    ReplyDelete
  38. only a personal one ... i use goodreads as my self challenge ;)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I only do the Goodreads challenge. My reading time varies greatly depending on work load, so more specific challenges just aren't for me

    ReplyDelete
  40. The only one I take part is the one on Goodreads - but I think it's more to know how many books I've really read. xx

    ReplyDelete

  42. I did a reading challenge last year to read more diverse books.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I enter challenges but fail all the time . That's because I don't add every book I read . The highest time level to complete a book for me is 3 days . Minimum is less that 24 hours and I read with little breaks so I can't really add everything I read . I actually read more than challenged but don't add more than a little

    ReplyDelete
  44. usually i do but i have been disappointed lately so at this time i only doing the goodreads one this year, will see if one caztch my interest or not

    ReplyDelete
  45. This year I'm only doing the Goodreads reading challenge. I'm trying to read 117 books in 2017. :)

  52. I participate in the Goodreads challenge just to push myself to read a bit more each year, but I don't stress about it. I also particpate in a small book club challenge that encourages me to find new authors and genres which is always good.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't often participate in book challenges. I already review books, and I read hundreds of books a year. With a husband and children moving my books, often before I even finish them, let alone review them, taking part in challenges is out of the question. I can't even organize my life, much less a stack of books. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  54. Not really, I decided to keep reading at my own pace!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I take part in the good reads book challenge. I am going to try and read 50 books this year. I think the challenges are fun :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I don't because I just read when I feel like it. But my daughter does, she reads a LOT of books throughout the year.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm doing my first ever challenge this year and enjoying it so far. I picked 52 books this year to finish, but I'm already at 11 so I think I was too conservative in what I thought I could accomplish!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I don't because I already read pretty much every day.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm taking part in my first challenge this year to read 50 books by the end of the year!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I read a lot, but I don't do book challenges.

    ReplyDelete
  61. If I have a chance - always. I love participating in reading challenges. The one on Goodreads is the top of it all.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I take part in the Goodreads challenge every year. I used to commit to something crazy (for me anyway) like 100 books a year. One a week is much more manageable :) The added bonus is that I feel like my writing's improved for the increased consumption of books, haha.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sorry! I never took any book challenge. Also, I'm not aware of it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I don't do book challenges. I like to read !y own choices and my TR pile ids way to tall to try

  65. I do participate in the Instagram book challenges. Love to post pics according to day's prompts.

    ReplyDelete
  66. No, because I find that they end up restricting what I read, and put unnecessary pressure on a hobby that I otherwise enjoy.

    ReplyDelete
  67. No, I don't. I prefer to read what I feel like.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I don't know... i've never heard of it to be honest :S

    ReplyDelete
  70. I have never taken part in one - I like to read a lot but when I want!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Not really. The only one I have is the Goodreads one, with a number of books per year.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I never have before. The one's I've seen seem kind of complicated & with too many rules.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I do the challenge on Goodreads every year - I normally set it to read 100 books over the year. Keeps me motivated to plough through my 'to be read' pile

    ReplyDelete
  74. Not yet. Think they are an interesting idea, but read approximately 12 books in 2 weeks, even more some times, so it's hard to find a "challenge" to do.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I used to take part in something called books and beyond when I was at junior school where you had to read a certain number of books per level and if you completed them all you got a medal at the end - I always got the medal. Now I only take part in the Goodreads challenge, I don't know of any more.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I just don't have the time, I love to read, but like to enjoy a book and not rush it
