  3. I had a pretty good bookish year. I read the best suspense/thriller ever, Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. I also got more into cozy mysteries and read a couple by Kate Carlisle. I am one of Kate's Raters and get a review copy twice a year. So far, I've read three of her books. Her Fixer-Upper series is being adapted for television by the Hallmark channel and stars Jewell.

    Thanks :)

  5. I had a great bookish year, thank you ladies! I didn't get an awful lot of reading done for the first half as Mum was very ill & I was driving in & out of hospital for weeks. Just too tired to concentrate. Since she's got better and needs less care though I've managed to catch up (winning lots comes in handy too)!

  30. I've over extended myself, too many author newsletters, too many ARCs to read/review that I don't have a chance to read the 3000+ ebooks packing my kindle and the 400+ on my library overdrive wishlist

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am boycotting the library this year since they closed my branch, after saying they wouldn't, to build a new one. That will take a minimum of 2 years if they finish on time. So I am reading from my own library and exchanging finished ones with a friend. I am amazed at what taste I had especially considering many of them are written and purchased before 2000! I will have more than enough books to keep me going.

  32. I had triplets in 2009 and I seriously haven't read ONE BOOK since then. This year, they're so much more independent and in school so I read at least one book a week. I missed it so much!

All in all, I had a good bookish year: while sometimes I was underwhelmed by my books (and my Kindle died on Christmas Eve), I did read some really great ones, and I visited many amazing libraries!
