Review by Anniek
After a traumatic incident Tess lost a lot and had to change her life completely. Once she was a well-known and respected super model, but after accusing a powerful politician of causing the death of her best friend she had to give up her career. Tess now lives in a small town and has her own café. She gets up early every morning to start baking her delicious treats and tries to help out where she can.
In a newspaper article Tess reads about a young local couple who had everything stolen from their home. This couple is about to get married and they don't have enough money to replace the bridesmaids dresses that were also taken. The wedding will take place in two weeks and Tess and her friends, Sally, Molly and Annie, are immediately thinking of ways to help out. They start The Bridesmaids Club and raid their own closets for bridesmaid dresses to donate for the wedding.
Logan works at the local newspaper and wrote an article about the burglary. He has reported news from all over the world and won several prizes for his work. After being in Afghanistan for six months a devastating experience left him broken. He still has trouble sleeping at night and has been having a hard time working through his survivor's guilt. Logan has known Tess for a year now, but she's still giving him the cold shoulder. He has no idea why. When he helps Tess out at a stressful moment they're finally starting to become friends.
Tess is one of the sweetest people I have ever read about. She has such a big heart and didn't deserve what happened to her in the past. Tess is always looking out for other people and is helping whenever and wherever she can, forgetting herself in the process. She is so kind, loyal and selfless. If the world would be filled with more people like her we would be living on a different planet. Logan is like a big teddy bear. He's gorgeous, kind, honest, but he's also damaged. They both deserve some happiness in their life and I liked the way Tess and Logan slowly connected and how their friendship evolved. All of Me is one of the purest and sweetest stories I've read in a long time. It warmed my heart and filled it with love. Luckily there are more stories, as this book is the first part of a series and I'll definitely want to read them all.
All of Me is a perfect romantic story to read curled up on your sofa with a nice warm and comfy blanket. If you're a fan of pure and true love and friendship then this really is the book for you. All of Me is currently free on Amazon.
