  4. I liked everything about it, like the book itself was made for me. When I was young, I'd carry it with me everywhere.

    I enjoyed the general theme of the book, the abstract nature of a second world that the writer managed to capture perfectly, but the only one who could understand the world was Alice, and everyone else just thought she was mad.

  10. For me it has to be the 'anti-logic' of the narrative: the nonsense of it all. Dodgson & Edward Lear as well as Spike Milligan have long been favourites of mine.

  15. I've loved Alice in Wonderland since I was a girl. My older sister read the books to us, and there was a television version that we loved. I was always fascinated by the charters in Wonderland.

  21. Alice in Wonderland is one of the books that takes me right back to childhood. Along with The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe it was my introduction to fantasy. Nostalgia :)

  23. I have always loved Alice in Wonderland as a young girl. The rabbit babbling his, "late for an a very important date". My mother read and watched in with me. Wonderful memories.

  33. I love the weirdness and the unique style of the story especially for its time. I love all the crazy creative terms. And the back story of how the book was written because of a little girls dream. I especially love Tim Burton's rendition of the story.

  53. When it was first read to me I was quite young, and I didn't quite understand it. Which made it seem mysterious and magical. The nonsense bits are still the best, as they evoke that feeling again.

  82. I love how fun and frivolous it is. Like someone came up with some really strange ideas and then put them together and made a book and film etc. Love the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat - not forgetting the dormouse in his teapot.
