  6. Congratulations on 500,000 Views Lovely's. I love Ebooks because I have chronic illnesses & holding up a book to read is painful in my arm, neck & shoulder muscles but a Ereader is very light so I can still read books & not be in pain

  7. I love how you can take them anywhere, you don't have to worry about the space physical books take up. But most importantly, I never have to worry about someone asking to borrow my book and then returning it with a scratched cover :)

  10. I had hundreds of books stored in one room, some of which I purchased used. After purchasing my Kindle, and donating the books, I have so much more room, and much less dust. I do still collect some books, and will always love "real" books too.

  13. Print will always be my favorite, but I do love e-books because they are often cheaper, I find new authors a lot of times through e-books (because they tend to be cheaper), you can carry around a ton of books with e-books, etc.

  21. My wife is the e-book lover. She originally had a Sony e-reader, but now uses an iPad. She finds it a convenient way to take a lot of books with her on holiday or whilst travelling for work. Her only complaint about the iPad is that it is difficult to read in direct sunlight. I understand that the Kindle has actually solved this problem, so perhaps my wife might need to move on again with her ereading system?

  71. I read during my commute, and I go from bus to train to shuttle for a 90 minute commute. Sometimes it is dark, and the ebook is back lit. I also need reading glasses, but I don't when I use an eReader. One can also hold the eReader in one hand and an umbrella in the other, and it is is lighter than a book, so it does not aggravate my carpel tunnel.

    ReplyDelete
  72. An eReader makes it possible to carry my whole library with me. Believe me I could not take all my physical books with me even in a car.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I love my Kindle. I have a voracious appetite for books and with it I can carry a library round with me wherever I am, home or away. However I am also a traditionalist and still love 'real' books too. A Kindle doesn't have quite the sensory pleasures of the feel and smell of the real thing! :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. I love reading on my iPad because I can store so many books on it and I can make the print as large as I like. Also getting ebooks from libraries is so easy! I do still enjoy real books too!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I tend to read them faster than the paperbacks, also easy to carry everywhere I go. And most of the books I read are in kindle format, as my favorite writers books aren't available at where I live. They are super duper highly expensive in Amazon too. So, I prefer kindle copies in my kindle app, instead. :D

    ReplyDelete
  102. The benefit of ebooks is I can carry hundreds with me to read at one time with no effort. They cost less and I learned that before I read books I missed tons of good reads because they were only in ebook format.

  129. Makes it easy to have several books to read without having to carry them back from the library. They appear to be a lot cheaper than the "normal" books as well, and definitely don't take as much room up. Also great for the holidays when you don't have to use valuable packing weight with books and can just take your Kindle/ereader instead. Fantastic idea.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I haven't read an eBook yet, I have so many physical books to read. However, it would be so much easier to carry around

  136. I love that I can read them while traveling.

    ReplyDelete
  137. (Yay, and congratulations to you!)
I'm very new to e-books, and have yet to really get into them. I recently got a little Amazon Fire, and it's difficult for me to read on it with all of the glare/reflection-- and the distractions! (And the glare. I mentioned that, right?)
But yes, there are SO many nice things about e-books. I love how they tend to be less expensive, and there is that factor of instant gratification. And, the portability! For several years at the start of grad school, I moved apartments every 4-6 months or so-- and I would haul boxes and boxes of books around. SO MUCH STUPID EXERCISE!
And oh, here's another: With an e-reader, a person (not necessarily me, ahem...) could read a book with a really trashy cover-- and no one would have any idea. :-D
    Love you guys; congrats!
