About Chloe Quinn
Let me jump right into it. Traditionally this would be where I would write a bio featuring facts about me. But I think I would like to make it a little different. Since the world now has changed thanks to social media I think I will make this bio a little less formal. Hopefully it will make this more interesting and entertaining like a blog for you.
First off let me start by saying I’m an author, so of course I have a love for writing -Obvious fact I know but needed to be stated- my love for writing came from an early experience from my childhood, hearing bedtime stories at night in fact, I loved that someone took their time to write down the dramatic tales featuring brave Heroes and strong Heroines.
One day I learned how to read and the magical world of the written word opened up to me. That’s when I realized I could read them to myself.
Many days of mine were spent reading one enjoyable story after the other. And then it happened… I read my first romance novel. It was a hot one about a pirate who kidnaps a Lady. (Hence the hot picture of a Pirate). This literally sparked a passion in my soul. I knew what type of books I wanted to write.
Today, I not only get to share stories with others, I get the privilege to write stories that are filled with heart-stopping love for people. So readers, dive in and enjoy yourselves.
Chloe Quinn also writes under the name Arneda Everett.

1. Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Chloe Quinn. I have love the written word for as long as I can remember. This includes reading and writing. I studied English when I was in college under a professional editor and was mentored by a celebrated author in his field of humanities. And something else you should know about me, I’m a dog lover. I have two very mischievous little dogs that I adore (and probably spoil- don’t tell anyone). So you would catch me either at a dog park with them or on a walk with them.
2. What kind of books do you bring with you when you go on holiday?
My favorite type of books are romance or an intriguing crime novel. So that would probably what I would have with me.
3. If you could spend a sunny day anywhere how would your perfect day look like?
Is it wrong for me to answer shopping? I love to shop. Of course if the stores were located on a broad walk on the ocean where I could get a great clam chowder and a yummy seafood dinner that would be alright too. The proverbial icing on the cake (that is if I didn’t actually have cake as well.) *giggles*
4. Could you tell us about your hobbies (when you are not writing or reading)?
I enjoy whipping up a recipe in the kitchen. You might also see me capturing a beautiful landscape in a photo.
5. Where do you find the inspiration for your stories?
I would have to say this answer depends on what type of story I am going to write. For instance, I visited an art gallery and found myself thinking, how did these pieces of art get chosen to hang here? And voila, the story idea for my upcoming novel Savory Aphrodisiac was born. So I guess if I were to simplify where I get my inspiration for my stories, I would say I’m inspired by my surroundings and my experiences.
6. If you could be any leading character from a bestselling book, who would you be and why?
So my mind just drew a blank and then was bombarded with several books. I have to be honest, this question is a little tough. I’ve read a lot of really good books who feature great lead characters. But I will just pick one. I think I will go with a classic. I would have to say Hester Prynne from the novel The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I would love to have her strength to turn controversy into triumph.
7. What's your favorite reading spot?
I like to read by the pool or in a nice cozy lounger. I guess occasionally you could also find me at a nearby coffee house as well.
8. What is your favorite holiday destination and what do you like so much about it?
I love any destination where I can be near the water. However, my favorite holiday destination would probably be Monterey Bay because of how aesthetic beautiful the scenery is and how peaceful it is as well. It’s a great place to get down time and relax with a book or just listen to the soft sounds of the Pacific Ocean when it splashes the shore. I actually would love it if I were there right now. *Smiles*
9. Do you have any advice for authors who would like to write a sunny story?
Just chuck all of your excuses out of the window, sit down, and start writing. It doesn’t matter if you start with an outline or if you just start writing without any idea of where you are going. Why you ask. Because you will be amazed how fast a novel can come together if you don’t over think it. So when you are done reading this, get typing on that novel. *giggles*
10. What can we expect from you in the future?
In the near future I have a few releases slated to come out this August. The first being Savory Aphrodisiac. Savory Aphrodisiac is a story about a gallery owner named Bianca Winn. She is trying to get an artist, the mysterious Mr. R., to appear in her next show at the gallery. Very interesting the things she has to go through to convince this stubborn yet extremely attractive guy to do the show. Definitely don’t miss this one especially if you like the genre Romantic Suspense.
I’m also introducing my new series, Donna’s Gate. The series is sweet and romantic. It’s based in a fictional small town located in Northern California’s Sierra Mountains. The first of this series is about Daphne Gate. She has returned to the small town of Donna’s Gate after living in San Francisco for several years. She meets her new neighbor, the sexy Brayden Carpenter. They end up helping each other in a way that I can’t tell you about here because you have to read the novel which is simply titled Daphne.
I also will have a cookbook coming in September that I co-authored with fellow writer, and best friend, Lexi Miles. It’s called #FoodParty Lexi and I got together and complied a few of our favorite recipes that we thought others might like.
Other than that, I have a few appearances, a few blog tours, and interviews coming up. The easiest way to find out the dates are to head over to my website www.chloequinnauthor.com and check out my press page. (www.chloequinnauthor.com/press-page) My events are usually always there. Or follow me on one of my social media accounts like Twitter http://www.twitter.com/chloequinnbooks , Facebook www.facebook.com/pages/Chloe-Quinn/956106684422955 , or Pinterest www.pinterest.com/ChloeQuinnAuthor to name a few.
So now you know a little more about me. Thank you Anniek and Suze for the interview. I really enjoyed being able to share with you guys.
