About Anita Louise
Anita's husband comes from a large and loving family of nine children, and they were the inspiration for the Adler Family Series. She's always been an avid reader of love stories, and her passion for romance found another outlet when she discovered how much fun it was to write about her own smart and sexy heroes and heroines.

1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Like everyone, I’m not the same person I used to be. We all change. In fact, nothing and no one ever stays the same. One part of me that has remained constant is my compassion for others and my love of reading. When going through challenging times, I found both escape and growth in the pages of a book.
I’ve always been one to ”look for the silver lining” no matter what the situation. I am a strong believer that what we seek ... we find. With that philosophy as my bedrock, I know that even in a seemingly “bad” situation, there is the seed of a much greater gift. It’s up to me/us to find it.
2. What kind of books do you bring with you when you go on holiday?
What a blessing eBooks are! My vacation bags used to be filled with a variety of books and magazines, making them bulky and heavy. With my Kindle, tablet or even simply my smart phone, whatever I wish to read is always at my fingertips!
A good romance novel is definitely at the top of my list. I like to get to know the characters and see what “makes them tick.” As a romantic at heart, an emotional and sensual love story is a must.
In addition to romance, I enjoy reading non-fiction—particularly in the area of personal growth. Life is not always filled with sunshine and happy times. For me, the more I’ve learned about how to best navigate the dark days and challenging times, the easier it is to make my way through those times and the less frequently I am confronted with them. Consequently, I have read and continue to read books to help me to become a better person.
3. If you could spend a sunny day anywhere what would your perfect day look like?
I love to be on or near the water. Fortunately, my sister lives on a lake. What could be better than being on or in the water on a sunny day with people you love? Ahhhh, perfect!
4. Could you tell us about your hobbies (when you are not writing or reading)?
My favorite sport is golf ... although I must admit it’s a bit of a “love/hate” relationship. I was introduced to the sport as a child by my father who was very good at the game. Since I was never what might be considered a “naturally athletic” person, it was a thrill to discover that golf was a sport at which I could do fairly well. It’s nice because (most of the time) I don’t have teammates who are depending on me to score the winning shot. It’s just me and a little white ball on a beautiful green expanse of grass ... except for those times when I’m in the rough ... or the sand ... or the trees ... or the water ... Hmmm, maybe I don’t like the game all that much after all.
5. Where do you find the inspiration for your stories?
That’s an easy question. Everywhere! People are my inspiration ... their struggles and triumphs ... challenges and victories ... relationships—both good and not so wonderful. As an author, I might see something on the tv, hear something on the radio, or read something in the news and think, “That would be great to include in a story!” I have slips of paper everywhere and notes in my smart phone filled with ideas.
6. If you could be any leading character from a bestselling book, who would you be and why?
I loved Jo Marsh in Little Women. She was independent and knew what she wanted all through the novel. Not easily swayed by the opinions of others and still so compassionate for them. It’s also pretty cool that she’s a writer! :o)
7. What’s your favorite reading spot?
That depends a bit on the time of year. In the winter months, I like nothing better than to be curled up in an oversized chair in front of a warm fire. In the summer, a comfortable lounge chair in a screened in porch surrounded by the sounds of nature with a gentle breeze makes for an ideal reading spot.
8. What is your favorite holiday destination, and what do you like so much about it?
Travelling is one of the things my husband and I enjoy the most. Rather than going to the same place time and again, we prefer to visit a variety of destinations. One of the best things about seeing and experiencing different parts of the country and the globe, is the places we visit will also be seen and experienced by my readers in upcoming books.
9. Do you have any advice for authors who would like to write a sunny story?
Think sunny thoughts. Look for situations and people who make you smile. Focus on the positive. Forgive and remember that everyone is doing the best they can based on their experiences and perspective.
10. What can we expect from you in the future?
More love stories about the Adler family. It is my goal to publish two more books in 2016. This will mean that six of the series will be completed. All of the Adler’s stories will be available by late 2017 or early 2018. After that ... I’m not sure. Any suggestions?
