Review by Suze

Sienna moves from London to New England for a few months to escape family problems. While she's on the plane she meets Kyle and they instantly like one another. As they only have a few hours together they decide to make the most of them. Kyle is a popular guy who has never had a serious girlfriend and Sienna is a cool, alternative girl with pink dreadlocks and lots of piercings. When they arrive at their destination they say goodbye and expect to never see each other again.

Sienna stays with her relatives and she will go to an American high school. When Sienna starts at the school there's already someone she knows quite well. How can it be that Kyle even shares some of her classes and what will they do?

New England Dreams is a fun story about an English girl who's been through a lot at home. Sienna is tough and I loved her from the start. She knows what she wants and she can stand up for herself. Pia Fenton portrays her in a colorful creative way. Kyle used to be a jerk, but he's trying to be nicer. It's a great character trait that he's able to acknowledge his own flaws and wants to work on them. He's actually a pretty good guy. I really liked the chemistry between him and Sienna. They're different, but they have more in common than they think.

New England Dreams is a wonderful romantic story. The book is part of a series, but it can also be read as a standalone. I loved Pia Fenton's vivid descriptions of the main characters and their surroundings. I often had to smile while reading this story because she writes with a lovely sense of humor. The Northbrooke High stories are light and entertaining and they are a joy to read. I can't wait to try more of Pia Fenton's books.

  3. Oh dear, romance is not my thing so I really can't comment on this book except to say that the inclusion of humour is always good!

  4. This is the first time I'm hearing about this book, and it sounds so amazing and like something I would enjoy very much. Thanks for reviewing it bc otherwise I wouldn't know about it. But I can't help but wonder how come more people do not talk about it.

  5. This sounds like a cute, quick read. I think that I would enjoy reading about two completely different people coming together. Thanks for the review!
