  1. I can't read books based in winter or holidays in summer. I like lighter reads mostly. Dystopian ones are good but romances are better.

  11. Summer reading means that I can stay up until the wee hours of the morning reading because I don't need to be in front of a class of 6th graders teaching ELA at 7:15!

  12. Summer reading involves the outdoors so I have to factor in sun screen, antihistamine creams & tablets, my inhaler, a hat, water, citronella and, considering this is Ireland, a blanket!

  16. I live in a tropical country with two season in a year so it doesn't really matter to me. My preferred reading spot is at home but I bring my book or e-reader anywhere I go too and just pull either one up every chance I got.

  43. Summer reading means spending an entire day in an outdoor lounge chair, with a cold glass of whatever beverage you desire, and just do nothing but reading. Or maybe you're at the beach and you read. I don't necessarily need a summer-themed book to read in the summer. For me, summer reading is more about the fact that I have the time in a day to dedicate to reading, during the week, when I'm on vacation and I don't need to panic that I have to go to bed or I won't function otherwise the next day.
