The Hang Up by Tawna Fenske

Miriam has her own public relations and branding company. When she meets Jason she immediately likes him and makes him an offer he can't refuse. She doesn't know then that he's her new big client and that they will keep running into each other. Jason works as a CEO. He's used to the outdoor lifestyle and has turned his biggest hobby into a great source of income. He's accepted the CEO job so he can take care of his sister and her son, who needs extra care. He gives them everything he has to give and there's no room for anyone else in his life.

Jason challenges Miriam and she's afraid to accompany him on one of his activities at first. Her father died in a climbing accident and doing something dangerous outdoors is the last thing Miriam wants. Jason has a lot to teach her and he can also learn plenty from her. Even though they have a connection, both Jason and Miriam aren't looking for someone to have a relationship with. Will they have a chance or is friendship the only thing that can ever happen between them?

I love the First Impressions series and think the books are fun and sexy. Jason and Miriam have such good chemistry and I enjoyed reading their effortless flirty banter. Jason isn't used to luxurious living, he likes being outside and loves to go exploring. He's such a kind man with a great and heartwarming sense of duty. Miriam is sweet and strong. She knows what she wants and she's talented which is why she's a successful businesswoman. I liked Jason and Miriam very much, they're both loyal to their loved ones and they are extremely passionate about what they do.

Jason does everything he can for his family. His nephew is adorable and has some hilarious obsessions. The Hang Up put a big smile on my face. It's a light and easy read, but there's also some depth. I love Twana Fenske's character descriptions. She takes the time to thoroughly introduce her main characters and lets her readers see them through several different pairs of eyes. She paints such a complete picture of who they are and what they stand for. I really like her writing and highly recommend her stories, they are wonderful.

  1. I love when two characters in a romance complement each other like this!
