Alexa is a sweet person. She is nice to her friends, she's a loyal employee and she's a good student. Alexa doesn't have much self-confidence and thinks she is nothing special and kind of plain. She works as a waitress together with her best friend Annabel. During the summer Adam comes home and works at the restaurant as well. Alexa's had a secret crush on Adam since a long time, but feels like they are stuck in the friend zone.

Adam is a bright and positive person. He lights up the room with his smile and he is known for his people skills and everyone loves him. He also has a darker side though, a side he tries to keep hidden. In the past he had to deal with a tragic loss. Adam has a lot of trouble letting go of the pain and sadness and he also has the feeling he has failed.

Alexa and Adam are perfect for each other. This is obvious as soon as you read about them when they are spending time together. They joke around and feel at ease. Alexa and Adam both find it hard to open up and to confess how they truly feel, but because their attraction is so strong they can't keep hiding it forever.

Calm Like Home is a beautiful story. Finding your one true love is not enough. Trust has to be part of the relationship too. When one person is ready to open up it doesn't mean that the other one is ready as well. Adam is struggling with this and he makes some bad decisions to hide his darkest secret. The way the story is being told and how the everything evolves are making Calm Like Home a gripping book and I didn't want to stop reading.

Home is where the Heart is and sometimes the Heart is closer at Home than you have ever imagined. Calm like home is Free on Amazon from the 16th till the 20th of May. Don't miss out on this sweet romance.
