I usually pick YA when I want to read something lighter, so I think that's it. Besides the most obvious reasons, of course, like plot, characters, etc.
I mostly read YA books bc the authors make the characters so perplex and strong that sometimes that inspires me to be as strong as they can be.
Oh a children's book would be a breather for all the classics i am reading and am planning to read. Not that i complain though.
I love YA genre the most because it usually covers a wide range of issues and characters.
Children's books are educational and provide the soft approach to life.

I think the things that got me addicted about YA books is how relatable they are, and how all the books have different writing styles but are still easy to comprehend. :)
I like reading YA because it takes me out of my everyday life. Too much adulting = me very cranky. I'm getting into MG so I can talk to my nephew about books. Also getting back into children's books for my granddaughter and other nephew and niece.
I love them because I'm still a teen and they have adventures .

I love YA & MG books! I find them entertaining while keeping it clean. Also the imagination & creativity in YA/MG novels are amazing!
TBH, I don't even know what is it that I like about them, but they often pull me in like no other genre, they are often fast-paced and even though I am an adult, I find myself connecting with their characters sometimes on a bigger level then with characters from adult novels.I guess the child in me comes out when I read ya genre.
Not only are they great world to escape to I love that I can read them with my daughters and we can discuss them together.
I love almost anything and everything YA related!

I absolutely love the YA genre because the protagonists are close to my age (18) :) and it makes it much more easier to relate.

I like that the books, eventhough they are intended for a specific age group can be read by anyone, no matter how old your are.
