  1. My fav YA book is On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta because it's a book that really brings out the emotions in you and you can really relate to the MC.

  9. The Outsiders by Susan Hinton. My favourite book ever. The characters are real, good but not perfect, the plot is very good and amazingly well written, and the author was a teenager when she wrote it!

  11. One of my favorite children's picture books is The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear. The illustrations are very entertaining for children.

  22. They didn't have all these different genres, like YA and such, so I'm not sure if The Hobbit counts, but it was my getaway when I was young.

  25. One of my favorites was Did You Carry the Flag Today, Charley? One of my teachers read this book to my grade school class when I was in third grade. I loved it because the child, Charley, was a little different than the other children. I felt I was different than the other kids in my class so it really appealed to me :)

  27. I don't have my most favorite YA book yet, but I did love The Wrath and the Dawn & The Throne of Glass series recently! They're just such great reads and the writing and plot is amazing. Oh, and when I was a kid, I was a huge fan of the Geronimo Stilton books haha. They were really entertaining and I was always fascinated about the way the story was told (with different fonts and all that).

  30. Well, right now I'm loving the Percy Jackson series. I read it several years ago, but my kids now like to listen to it on audiobooks. It's much more fun to "read" it with them!

  40. I loved the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder because it depicted such a simple, community-based lifestyle with emphasis on family values. I enjoyed the TV show too. I still haven't watched the entire series and hope to some day.
